I know about the Main Event..Drinks are'nt cheep, the music is loud, the view is great. Joe's crab shack, Rockin Baja Lobster there ar a few others in the harbor.

Be patient, I assume there will be a venue for nighttime activities. All will be posted, I assume, shortly.

The tides are pretty moderate the weekend of the contest - so they shouldn't be a big factor. Maybe a board sacrifice is in order to bring up the swell - any volunteers?

Hensley's has been designated as the evening gathering place for the contest. It's a relatively new restaurant/bar located just off the I-5 at Tamarack (west side of freeway). We'll be assembling there - some may be disassembling - Thursday, Friday and Sat evenings - including the awards presentation Sat. in the late p.m.

Competitors (especially first-timers) may want to try to make it Thursday night. It's not required - and we'll be posting heats online - but we expect to have a representative of the judging panel on hand to provide a description of the criteria and answer your questions.

Raffle mania will be going strong each night - so bring plenty of loose change. Most go home with something - some with too much!

I'll post some times shortly - but plan on this stuff just after the dinner and cocktail hours. Update: Thursday Night Pre-Contest Meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Hensley's. This is optional but recommended.
