if you can, bring your smallest-wave board and don't expect much. florida sucks, there really are no waves here.
edit: forgot to add that most surfers here have never seen or heard of kneeboarding so be prepared for some confused looks.
I lived in Jacksonville from 1986 to 1989, and kneeboarded there and in the area from north jetty to the pier and points further south. Pretty much sucks for waves most of the time, and I never did see any hurricane surf. Yeah, not too many kneelos around, but don't be surprised, there are a few.
