if you can, bring your smallest-wave board and don't expect much. florida sucks, there really are no waves here. :? :D

edit: forgot to add that most surfers here have never seen or heard of kneeboarding so be prepared for some confused looks.

I lived in Jacksonville from 1986 to 1989, and kneeboarded there and in the area from north jetty to the pier and points further south. Pretty much sucks for waves most of the time, and I never did see any hurricane surf. Yeah, not too many kneelos around, but don't be surprised, there are a few.

By the way, I met the Florida crew (Eric and Mark) via this site.Eric and I surfed an epic Hurricane Isibel swell in Hatteras some years back and meet Jim M as well as a great crew from California. They all know Nica surf now...except for Eric and I am working on him,we will save that story for another day. Hope to hear from you and look forward to sharing a North Florida barrel or two.
Who was that transplanted kneeboarded living in Jax now......reach out brother.....there are several of us here and some outstanding waves as well, sounds like your homesick...:-)
Peace.
Stephen
