OK,OK,
What's the punishment for a rail grabbing blasphemer?
The comfy deckpad or the soft fin socks?

[quote="martinmurph"]Interesting comparing the kneeboarding traditions of Australia and the US.

Just think, if it weren't for those darn swim fins getting in the way, Steve Lis wouldn't have been pissed off enough to dream up the Fish....

Are the right honorable gentlemen from Aus stating that they would simply remove their flippers in a similar situation rather than invent a solution?

Riding a Fish kneeboard without flippers in San Diego is blashphemous [/quote

---I'm still waiting for one of these "Modern Kneeriders " ,to go as fast and surf as well as Lis and the original fish crew........

Hey John....These modern day kneeboarders are surfing as hard as Lis and the Diegans of his time ever did. They are doing extreme manuevers with more power. No ofense, I marvel at the pics of Lis, Huffman, Skinner, and other "lobster loungers", but open your eyes, Man. They're GOIG OFF! I admit I never surfed with those guys. I swear Freddie Peterson was the only guy of that era I surfed with whom came close to the "Modern Kneeriders" and he rode single fins!
The topic of fins: I've always used them as I was a body surfer before turning to kneeboarding. I've messed around without them and as Albert et al say, "it takes time and training." Having a couple of, ah hem, longer footboards I'm somewhat accoustomed to surfing without flippers. I do prefer them when kneeboarding. I do see the advantage of not having them hanging off the board during a ride. I think I may cut a pair down as EQ described.
Hey EQ, what kind of flippers did you cut up?
In the end it's personal preference, vanilla or chocalate icecream, or as EQ and Gigs put it, Blondes or Brunettes.

Wayne-
I've been cutting up VIPERS, but Gigs told us to try TOOBS BLUNTCUTS because of the way they are perfectly flat on the "top" of the fin (The side that makes contact.) I've bought a pair, but haven't broke out the exacto-knife yet.

Hey Jack!

Where you live you can paddle daily after work instead of having to ride the bike for exercise and be up to speed in no time.

I also forgot my fins a couple of summers ago and had a blast getting used to it. Fortunately I adjusted pretty quickly, but it was a small day. Even though I use arms most of the time there's still alot of instances where you just cruise with the fins. Nevertheless I think I'll go finless once in a while just to experiment and because it's fun to mix things up.

Why do Moroccan tree climbing goats make great pets?
a. They'll mow, and fertilize, your lawn.
b. They can climb trees!
c. Goat's milk, cheese, yogurt, etc is pretty tasty
d. The goats themselves are pretty tasty.
e. All of the above
