tide was very low, so went to RJS, where was everyone?.... scored dredging wedges to 8' with only one other person, and he came with me!..... as far as the eye could see, no one north or south....

waves had an offshore quality, super long lefts, got a double barrel on a 5'er that looked like a closeout at first but just started grinding....

great session

Scored last night.Wind shifted to North, straight OS.2-3 and sets till dark.
Swell jumped today,12'+NW 3'-S.Nice combo for small wedges.Definately need a bit of water, morning minuses don't work Med incoming 10 till 12 being the best.Wind straight out the channel all morning. To HH.The left bar is pretty damned good.Local crew only! :D If the sweaty masses get wind of this, gonna be a zoo.. The right is OK only, needs a bit of grooming.
Looks like a bit bigger tomorrow, and if it stays out the north, could be another fun one.
Contracted for a small pruning job in the area .[producing olive trees]Will get a bottle of class olive when available as a bonus.Gonna miss the next few days... 22 days of surf on kauai gave me the mellows.

cheers

Max, 54th was pumping today inspite of all the wind lots of ridable peaks 6-8'. mutiny and myself. Took some beatings due to the chopped up unpredictable conditions, but still lots of good ones. The water is still warm ~ 66f 8)
Monday, 5-19 was much better.....SMOK'N HB southside at 9AM with the incoming tide a combo swell 8-10'(faces) with peaks everywhere and maybe 8 guys in the water.Tom B and I feasted, Miracles do happen :D

So far I've somehow been able to somewhat successfully work around surfing!
