Looks like two hurricanes presently in the Carribean? I think Tropical
Depression Felix is now also upgraded to Hurricane status as well.

These storms look like they are tracking far to the south though...
both headed towards the Yucatan Penninsula in Mexico again.

Hey Mike, I was able to see Frank's controlled flex board up close
for the first time today. 8)

I went by Big Rock on the way to work today, yes I have to work the entire weekend, but that's o.k., I want to miss the 200,000+ people that are at this beaches to avoid the heat wave. The Rock had about 30 guys in the water trying to catch 3 foot waves! :(

Surfed at Salt Creek today. A bitch getting a parking spot as I arrived late on my way to mom's for BBQ (mmm ... ribs ... Image)

Anyway, it was inconsistent but there were some 5 foot sets that came through. Water was nice (cool but it was so hot out I didn't mind a bit). Crowd was remarkably light out in the water. Well maybe not so remarkable since it took nearly 20 minutes to luck into a parking spot.

Brookhurst Barrells! Brookhurst Barrells! Brookhurst Barrells! Brookhurst Barrells! Brookhurst Barrells! Brookhurst Barrells! Brookhurst Barrells!

Glassy, wally slabs for two days in a row now. 3-5ft faces. Two of ten were makeable but once in, time is expanded in the tube. :D

Good waves at the beaches around here also..........finally. Lefts where one could get in 2-3 off the tops then set up for a long, pumping race track.
Its the fastest I've gone on my KB since last winter.

ScottMac has been there the past three days also. Today was the reward for Sat and Sun's marginal conditions. And the water was warm (for here).

Some s.w. swell made it up here today. Buoy reading of 7 ft. coupled with rare summertime so. wind made for a rare summertime session at a spot whose name must not be spoken. Warm water too. Surfed 3 hours wearing the $ 119 4/3 X-cel with no hood, no tape, and giant back zip. Warm water makes for slippery boulders, however. Pretty much 30 ft. of crawling on your stomach like a reptile to reach waters edge
This has been Jerry, reporting from Oregon.

P.S. Beeline... Dude, you missed it

Backside of Rincon yesterday - 4 hours of HH perfect left barrels! Windswell more dominant today - so surfed Indicator to Rivermouth. Thanks for hooking up Jack G. - was good to see you and get some waves. Hey Mark - your other spot north of Ventura was firing as well!

5 sessions Sat/Sun/Mon, 13 hours total in the water, what a great weekend!

I saved the best for last - the final session this afternoon at Calafia I was trunking it, sets were a few feet OH, just me, David Hetherington, and a few seals out. Big drops and then down the line speed fest.

Epic.
