Now dy...Im quite chilled here
I'm glad to hear that mate..well, it is 2:36AM in the morning for you (at time of your post) so I guess you've had time to get chilled
I'll get to this
also where is the condradiction
All good, so far
I come from solid Irish stock...quite contrary and argumentative...theres not much I take seriously on this esteemed site other than kneeloness
well neither , I would say that Damo was answering the question of the original thread..weren't you?
I assume your commenting on my assessment of australian masculinity or...is my Baker as winner of the final on points call bothering you?
Now thats the bit about being opiniated..we are on a kneeboarding site and talkng to a guy that wants to stop wearing flippers?
if my social opinions are poorly judged and ill informed...well...thats according to you...I draw on a reasonable bibliography to form them and mentors to refine them
oh yeah, the contradiction
Well when we make broad statements as if they are meant to mean something (read contribute) and then tail-arse out of there with comments like "but what would I know?"
Then what are people to expect?
...I wear flippers and mostly ride a quad...what would I know!!!
dorje
..and as hart reminds me...this is an American site...so freedom of speech eh!
this quote is out of context, out of thread and out of order
If you want to do this again..do it with the tools available to this site (and your PC) so that it is at least appropriately accountable on this forum
For ksusa and its membership (and God knows..this thread)..lets think about the ORIGINAL POST about a guy who was asking about assistance with surfing without flippers
hart
Jacksquid..I so hope you have an abridged opinion about the information here and of what you are going to choose

Bruce,
i'm taking offense at the way you're not trying to offend anyone.
since we're talking fashion here (acceptable accesories) i was wondering which look gets da ladies all hot and bothered.
a. springsuit with booties or
b. the farmer john with a hood?
perhaps a poll to determine the winner.
what this thread needs is a good polling.
on topic.... i have no idea.

the post
keeping things on topic
I suggest trying it with and without and stick with whichever feels best to you
I have been experimenting with this myself since the NSG 05
it just depends on the situation and conditions from day to day.
Peace, Smiles and Barrels to you all

It amazes me where this thread has gone. Almost 3000 hits that started with a very simple question. I can't help but wonder why.
One of the most attractive things about kneeboarding is that is not mainstream, it currently has the counterculture edge that stand-up surfing used to have, and it is filled with a rogue's gallery of characters that keeps it fresh and interesting. This site bears testament to that. I'm still laughing at Smokin' Rocks line:
"Which look gets da ladies all hot and bothered? a. springsuit with booties or b. the farmer john with a hood"
In the end, we all have to find our own answers. Meanwhile, the best surfer, it seems, is the one that emerges from the session with the biggest smile - with or without flippers.

As we age the condition of the joints becomes a primary concern. Given the option of being able to trade off between upper body and lower body for a power source, I'll lean toward having the option. Having said that, I can't help but wonder as to the overall condition of a shoulder joint that has been used as the only source long term. Lets face it, I can't think of any activity in any form of lifes endeavors that could be as grueling a repetative motion as surfing. Conditioning of the associated muscles is key, but science is still playing with the "lubricating" factor, still relatively unknown. Since you have been "ousted" so to speak (age wise), K-Man I beg to ask insight as to your general shoulder health?Please...Cheers...Frank...
