Lots of bad word when I was a Kneelo kid in the seventies, now I have not heard a bad word in years.

Pretty hard to get worked up over what footboarders think. They're mostly herd animals anyway, and with some exceptions not a very creative bunch

the people who make those comments are the ones with the issues

generally speaking those that worry about what I ride..... have got something to worry about . Never get any issue with those who know how to handle themselves .

Empty vessels make the loudest noise, the more I listen to 'em the more I hear 'em.......don't hear much anymore.
I get the looks 'cause I'm the old, fat, grey guy that carries flippers down with that wide board, but they get pretty friendly when the old, fat, grey guy with the wide board & flippers starts taking waves off them.
Don't pay them any mind... as the guys are saying they're only making up for their short comings (or short appendages)
Cheers Wolruss

Last year in Nica we were surfing a famous left point and it was firing. Freddy, Razor, Puzty, Scott and Norton were ripping it. A stand up (and a ripper) and I were paddling back out thru the channel as Razor got 3 barrels on one wave - he looked at me and said - damn that looks like fun, you guys can go places that we just can't go! It was very cool.

Just take off behind one and run right up his ass. He'll change his mind.

Respect is earned ... not given.
But dickheads will always be ... well ... dickheads ... and some people are narrow minded fools ... and will always be ... well ... dickheads ... don't worry ... enjoy ... it their loss not yours ... continue your journey unperturbed.

JACKSON, man your post was too long and you have a punctuation problem.
Here's what you shoulda wrote.
"Seems like stand up guys here in texas dont think.
We're real surfers."
Next time some footboarding fool criticises your choice of vehicle, maybe remind him that without a certain Cali kneeboarder's creative thinking, he'd probably be striking manly poses on a 10ft log while riding all his waves straight to the beach.

Never had a problem now or back in the day. Jackson just go out and do your thing and have fun doing it. It's just like Steeno said the one with comments is the one with issues.............

Jackson, like everyone's been telling you, just keep doing what you're doing! Here in Ca. we've always have had respect! As far as validation from a bunch of lemmings, we don't need no steenking validation

I've run into a serious problem at the south jetty at mission beach, SD. A couple of them have no respect for anyone that doesn't surf there on a regular basis and doesn't stand up. So if your threatened out in the line up to get the heck out of there what is the best thing to do?? I think just running to another break cause someone has some insecurity issues is stupid. But i'm not gonna fight all of them either. I ended up staying out there and picking off the wide swinging peaks, but that doesn't seem fair at all! especially since i've surfed there for years.
