It was a Greenough exhibit at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum about 18 months ago that pulled me up to my knees from my belly. The boards I ride do not resemble George's, but his approach to surfing alternative vehicles opened my eyes to different approaches to wave riding than I had been exposed to when I was young. Kneeriding had faded by the time I hit the surf initially in the 80's. It seems to be blossoming again here in the 21st century.

..after seeing Greenough, that is

It happened to be in the last Century for me..but you have witnessed it NOW

Something IS still happening

Jack the same thing happened for me except that it was Joel Mayer (Photog) and not GG. I remember seeing Joel's "Late late show" at Haggertys and that was enough to convert a young longboarder to kneeriding. He absolutely KILLED IT at Hags back then! Nobody took of steeper or deeper than Joel.

Hey guys let's get Joel back in the water.

WILL

P.s. Those GG articles kept me from working today. I think I spent at least 3 hours researching GG today.
