Jimbo, you've been hanging out south of Pt Conception for too long.

Hurricane Kyle

Post by jimithesaint »

Got to surf some real juice on my Flashpoint thanks to hurricane Kyle. Well overhead and clean

Big suprise as I dropped into my 1st wave - I saw another kneeboarder

Surfed for a while with John (Gogglefrog)

Good fun until I got caught inside for 30 minutes LOL

Jim, glad you had another kneelo gathering, wish I could have hit it! I was stuck at home, wife was on the road, so I babysat horses and shoveled sh*t all weekend. AAARRRRGH!!

I guess that explains the ashes that were on our cars when we woke up down there on Sunday morning. I hope they get the fire under control quickly.

Florida was very good this weekend as well. I had off Friday and surfed a reef in Satellite Beach called RC's (Named after a Royal Castle hambuger stand in the 60's). Fun overhead lefts that reeled down a coquina reef, no wind, warm water, overcast skies and an easy paddle out !!
Saturday was a repeat but I couldn't surf-sorry for the bad call M-O-W.
Sunday, ah, I did the family thing all morning while watching the wave cams and waiting for low tide to come around. It did, and I surfed the end of my street ( A new not so secret sandbar) with 40 new friends. Hurricane Kyle passe offshore, pushing in solid, glassy, long rights.
Very stoked with more tropical swell on the way!!

Surfed Rincon at lunch today, first time since June. Shoulder high+, a little choppy, but very manageable crowd out at the point. Such a great wave, and a new flashy to ride it with. Glad things are slow at work today!

Good onya ScottMac. Classic story, and a great cure for dropinitis that I'm gonna save for a rainy day. Schoolin' greedy folks in the water's always sooo much better when there's humour, (at their expense), involved. You won't see her again, I reckon; she's lost face big-time.
