Waist high at C Street. A little of the NW rounding the point. Lots of people in the water until the wind got on it.

Monday 18th the day before good overpowers evil and balance and harmony is restored on the island of the gods
Appropriately 5 kneeboard surfers emerge from the cave at mid tide to restore some balance in the 3-4ft a frames at the peak the take off of the session goes to the globetrotting Canadian Kiya who gets 3-4ft of air as she drops from a peak that has jacked to 6ft as it hits the reef ,she lands it pulls a bottom turn and disappears down the line,i felt the shutter click in my minds eye with the guys on the hill collecting the digital evidence .
KiyaI hope you will share that shot with us all ,meawhile the guys got their share it was great to surf with 4 other kneelos with sighting predicted to become more prevalent over the coming days weeks months and ultimately years

Anyone have a call on what the waves will be doing Friday afternoon between Santa Barbara and Santa Monica? Have to pick up family from Catalina on Sunday so I'm ditching school a day early to (hopefully) surf without a wetsuit.

Mike, You are now exhibiting all the characteristics of an east coast kneelo- vivid fantasies, self delusion and visions of grandeur

Just wishful thinking Doug  But Swellinfo http://www.swellinfo.com/surf-forecast/ ... yland.html has it overhead so far for Monday, but I expect it to shrink a few feet before then.

Surfhorn,

Don't come Santa Barbara way, there'll be little to no waves. There is a bit of south in the water for the weekend, I'd stay in the L.A. area breaks, county line, porto etc. 1-3' prolly at the beachbreaks

Ventura can be doing its thing, but thats as far north as I would go. I'm sure C Street will have some waves, long mushy shoulders with plenty of longboarders and kooks in the line up. Not always the best for kneeriding, I'd hit a beachbreak.

Good Luck.

P.S. there aren't too many folks trunking it up here, I'd bring a suit in case you end up in Ventura.

I'm driving down from Santa Cruz County and we've had a cooler summer ocean temp than usual. So anything in the mid 60's and up is near nirvana.

I bolt through SB and make for the Pt. Magu area and then start looking.
