North was firing as well. Surfed Rincon both Sat and Sun. Very crowded but just flawless conditions.

Rincon was beautiful this morning, but INSANE crowd. Looked as bad or worse than this past weekend.. Its unbelievable how many people are out there, DONT THEY HAVE JOBS!!!! Im a damn college student and am supposed to be out there on tuesday morning/afternoon 8) 8)

Other than massive amounts of kooks floating around and doing nothing but chatting(in herds and herds),,, I was able to get a number of beautiful waves 5-8' on the face and screaming from the river through the cove. Its great having all the longboarders watch a kneerider tearing a wave to pieces and see the expressions on their face as I go down the line. Got a couple of comments like "didn't know kneeboarders could cutback that hard?"

Has been so nice out lately, reaching 70-80deg all day and perfect. Talked to a fellow kb'r with a very colorful blast, anyone on KSUSA?

Masons - I was snagging the ones that slid in and blew up on the sandbar just above the Rivermouth. Steep take off - barrel section and then fly as long as you can!!! So much fun!!!

Swell hitting next week Java Bali

Post by Doc Turbo »

Looks like a swell coming next week, starting about Tuesday with a major pulse on Wednesday 20th Feb. long intervals. Let's hope there is not much X Chop Wind factor. Tom, Stevea, let me know if you get surf, to match our reports up...

Rincon showing some good size today! Definitely not the cleanest, but had a great time off the indicator. This swell is showing really well, and is lighting up some of the lesser surfer point breaks around

Man, oh, man! The Point was going off about 10:30 AM with howling offshores! Ask John Mel about his completely out-of-sight for 3-4 seconds, left barrels. Nice 5'-6' peelers.

John had a new 6'0" round pin quad shaped out of a sugar cane blank. The Point has been on for the past 5 days..... not a bad place to test out a new board.

I just hope that I'm surfing half as good as John when I'm 61 y/o.
KBers take heart - there are great waves well into our future.

Not sure John spends much time on a computer. His time is spent shaping, surfing and traveling. Plus he works a couple 1/2 days in the shop.

But he did just shape a board for the upcoming retro contest......he found a 3 year old Clark blank and cut a 7'6" round pin and glassed-on a Brewer shape fin. He said mowing the blank was like cutting butter.

I got the call that the Eastside was going off. Just canceled band class, jammed home and am stepping out the door. Just checking the site to see if there were any reports, bye

The Point was in good shape this weekend. I watched Mike Sears ripping up overhead waves at The Hook on Saturday morning. Full vertical on the face smoothly into speed carves up in the hook. Mike was, by far, the best surfer in the water.
