Well.......we'll see... The last one was bogus over here, mainly because of the shite winds.Says 190 deg,not the best angle for us.Sounds it may be a bit bigger with more energy.

Just rolled in from Santa Barbara

Ran into Hosey and John Hall on the first surf quest... Hosey went back South and I went North and found some little fun in North Ventura.

Today was supposed to be a DP in the land of Steve N., but kids were a bit overdone with the fun, making for a LONG night.

Made it back to same spot and it there was a bit of South surge, and OK, but I'm sure there was better to be had.

Bob, I'm heading to the usual tomorrow... not quite sure when yet... PM! Syd, you going?

OB was blown and a stomach bug sapped motivation for a longer road trip. I bet SC was decent and crowded if not a bit foggy. Hope you got some.

Cruz has been good size since Sunday pm but a lumpy swell. Some waves good, most slow and lumpy. Foggy but glassy.

Wow, 30 boats, Mike...

North of SCruz. Saturday am at fourmile with about 15 other guys and 6-8' faces on the sets, but half of the guys could hardly surf, so that left just a handful of us with our choice of three different takeoff zones. Couple of us kneelos surfing hard. Early on, however, a pretty serious injury to a surfer slipping on the rock shelf as he was about to enter the water, landing hard on a rock on his face, blacking out, breaking a rib or two. A buddy had to do a water rescue and swim him in where he regained consciousness. Paramedics and fire trucks came down and finally got him off the beach and to some real care.

Then this evening at Davnport Lnding, still 6-8' on the best sets and less than 10 out. A bit infrequent, but lots of enjoyable rides. Same two kneelos show up again without any prior arrangements...

I'm having a great time taking my very small wave board (Blast Stubb), shoving in bigger fins and riding it in this larger surf to see if it can still handle. It stayed very stable and the added manueverability was really inspiring to my surfing. Gotta keep doing this...

YES! All of Central Calif -San Diego goes to the Ranch on EVERY swell. Out at the Channel Islands( 38 mile boatride each way) there were 16 boats and a little overhead.. total joke !...Save money and travel!!

With all the guys boating in to crowd out classic spots, can you blame Willy and I for choosing those "roads less traveled"?
