FCS Fin Question

I have A 6' Schoelkopf board with FCS fins. I want to experiment. The stock fins seem stiff G-7000 larger back fins. Smaller GL fins in front. All my other boards have had glass on fins. Recommendations I am looking to loosen up the board a little.

G7000s are pretty much the largest tri fin setups that FCS makes, besides the big twin fin style fins. So pretty much anything else they make that doesnt include a 7 in the name will be smaller and will loosen the board up for you.

this is a quad ?
for starters
try the larger fins forward
with the smaller symmetrical G-L trailing
M7 with the inside foil and GS trails is a typical set-up
... ??? I think
your G-7000 is about the same size ?
but could be flat foiled
either way
with G-L trailers could be cool

Yes this is a Quad
Larger fins back is how the twinzer is disigned. I tryed switching the fins and the board tracked.
I got a deal on two sets of GYU fins $35.00. Looking to grind down or mix and match?

I would suggest swapping the g7000 for some of those yu's and leave the GLs where they are before you get the grinder out

Yea thats the set up I am going to try tomarrow 1st. The YU's are olny a little smaller and seem to have more flex.

I ride a 6' Schoelkopf too and have found that the GL template up front on the rails seems to work the best. (thanks Craig!!)
I've only used the Black Composite and Glass-Flex GL's but have a couple of Fiberglass GL's on order and can't wait to see and feel the difference, if any.
The majority of my experimenting has been on the bigger "center" fins in back. I've been using the M3 and M5 templates in Composite Black, Glass-Flex, Fiberglass Epoxy, and Performance Core, although I haven't used the "Core's" yet.
Both the M3 and M5 templates will probably loosen up your board.
I'm certainly no expert and have only a fraction of the experience most of you have but I DO notice a difference in performance between the Black Composite (plastic) vs. the better GlassFlex vs. the even better Fiberglass/epoxy.
More responsive, light, snappy, but solid hold when needed..............actually that kind of describes the way I feel about Eric's BOARDS too. 
It's fun messing around with different templates and materials.
The way I see it..........seeing as I'm still trying to figure out how to surf...........I need all the help I can get, and if a more expensive high performance fin will do that.............SO BE IT!!!:lol:

Gu's that I got as rear fins work
Just that little bit more looseness. works for small waves. Now looking to change front fins for larger waves.

1/4" changes in base length or 1/4" changes in height of fins are significant.

2.0 is right,that is a significent size difference.Check this fcs site,there's quite a few fin sizes that may fill the bill,unless you'd rather muck around with fin grinding,think we've all been there....

Got some larger waves in Santa Cruze this week. Tryed out larger forward fins
worked fine Now going to remove back fins and ride twin

SCOTT...I'm gonna play around with a set of these as leading quad fins...
Is this the flashie?Those are huge fins.You gonna ride it as a twin,otherwise it'd be pretty stiff with rears...no?

Kev I kept the larger center fins and replaced the smaller leading front fins. This was for HH+ surf.
