I was pretty fun last year to be in a heat with my firend J Mel who I have known since high school ( you do the math) and there we were at Steamers with 2 others in the Worlds!!!!!!!
Everyone still stoked and surfing pretty darn good!
Does it get much better?

As I get to the halfway point all I can say is I'm stoked!!!!!!!! Turning 60 today I am Surfing more and better than I ever have Stand up/knee with same board same session ( no fins) Vowed to only ride boards my age or less ( 5'4" fish) Vowed to never be a fat old man longboarder average sessio...

I am still riding 5'8" to 6'2" fisheys (just ordered a new 6'2" from J Mel for J Bay this Aug
Standup.... on my knees.... whatever feels good and can get you in the pocket!!!

i like to do both i ride twin keel swallowtale fishes between 5'8" and 6'2" and I would say I standup 60% of the time.The late takeoffs are great for staying in on your knees but I like the ability to do what I feel.I do have a couple of 5'6" 4 fin kneeboards that John Mel has shaped ...
